Why Grounding Electrical Wires Are So Important?

It cannot be stressed enough about the dangers of a non-grounded electrical system. A high volume of electricity run through these systems into your home. To minimize the risks of electrical systems, grounding is a necessity. Grounding is the process of attaching electrical wiring to the ground near a breaker box. The process calls for a grounding rod to be placed in the ground near the electrical panel.

Electricity always takes a path with the least resistance. Non-grounded electrical systems pose risks during power surges and when devices are plugged into the system malfunction. For example, a microwave plugged into a 110-volt outlet unexpectedly malfunction, resulting in a shock in the electrical system. If the electrical system is not grounded, this simple function will result in injury or death to the person in close proximity of the microwave.

I highly recommend ElectON. I have had them install several light fixtures around the house in Kent and even had them add in some spotlights in various places, especially in hard to reach places like the top of the stairs. I was not at home at all while the electricians did the job, but I came home to a job done exactly as I imagined! The job they did was rewiring to add ceiling light/fan fixtures where there weren’t already any. They were even flexible with me having to reschedule one of the days of the project. Beautiful work, and they also cleaned up after themselves!

I needed an electrical panel replaced on short notice. After calling several different electricians in Kent, ElectON Enterprise exceeded my expectations in terms of price, communication, and service.
